1. What is a Hybrid hob?

2. What is the difference between a hob and a traditional gas stove?
• Hob: Fixed, built into the counter; stylish, often auto-ignition, flame failure safety. • Gas Stove: Portable, sits on the counter; simpler, lower maintenance.
3. What is a flame failure device (FFD)?
A safety feature that automatically cuts gas supply if the flame goes off unexpectedly.
4. What is auto-ignition in hobs?
Ignites the burner automatically when you turn the knob—either via battery or electricity (plug-in).
5. Can the hob work without electricity?
Yes, manual ignition hobs work without electricity and can be lit by using a lighter. However, electric auto-ignition hobs need power.
6. What materials are hob tops made of?
Typically tempered glass or stainless steel.• Glass looks premium, is easy to clean• Steel is more durable, scratch-resistant.
7. Can I replace my gas stove with a hob easily?
Yes, but countertop cutting is required if you want it placed it built in. Always check the cut-out dimensions before purchase or replacement OR Without cutting, it can be placed on the counter.
8. Can a hob run on piped gas (PNG) or LPG?
Yes, all IFB models support both. A conversion kit is available in each box.
9. How much gap is needed around the hob?
Minimum 50–100 mm clearance on all sides is recommended for ventilation and safety.
10. How do I clean a hob?
• Use a soft cloth and mild detergent • Avoid harsh scrubbers or acids on glass • Burners and pan supports can be removed and cleaned separately. • Ensure the burner is at room temperature before it is put under cold water.
11. How often should burners be cleaned?
At least once a week for Indian-style cooking. Clogged burners can affect flame quality.
12. Can I use large pots on a hob?
Yes, but ensure the pan support is stable and the flame isn’t going sideways.
13. What if the hob flame is low or uneven?
This may indicate clogged burner holes, incorrect gas pressure, or improper nozzle size. Get it checked by a technician.
14. Is it safe to leave the hob unattended while cooking?
Not recommended. Always supervise cooking, especially when using high flames or pressure cookers.
15. What is the standard warranty on hobs?
